Strain your honey during extraction through a double stainless steel sieve. The strainer with a diameter of 24 cm combines a coarser mesh of 2 × 2 mm and a finer mesh of 1 × 1 mm. Sliding handles make it easy to place on a container, and stainless steel is easy to maintain.

Verify honey ripeness before extracting and storing. The Catania ATC optical refractometer measures water content of 12–26% and sugar content of 58–92% Brix. Automatic temperature compensation makes measurement easy both at home and in the apiary.
