Wax Foundation Embedding
Transformers (trafo) for embedding wax foundation are the perfect tool for easy and convenient embedding of wax foundation into beehive frames. The working process is as follows: place the frame on a work surface and set the wax foundation onto the wires within the frame. Plug the transformer into a power outlet (230V), then attach the connectors to the ends of the wires at the top bar and the opposite end. Monitor as the wire heats up and begins to embed the wax foundation. Once the foundation is properly set, immediately release the connectors to prevent overheating or melting through the foundation. After embedding, allow the wax to cool before removing the frame. Transformers are suitable for embedding both stainless steel and tinned wire into wax foundation. Some models feature two modes (for stainless steel or tinned wire), and the intensity of the heating can be adjusted using a potentiometer. The devices are equipped with a thermal fuse for overload protection.
