Thanks to the output voltage of 12 V and current of 4 A, the wire heats up quickly and smoothly embeds into the wax foundation.

The transformer is designed for common beekeeping practice: it is durable, easy to use and emphasizes safe operation. Protection is ensured by an integrated thermal fuse – when overheated, the device automatically disconnects from the mains and the indicator light goes out. After cooling down, you can continue without worry, without damaging the power source.
Simple procedure for evenly embedded foundation
The operation is intuitive, so even a beginning beekeeper can handle it. For best results, proceed as follows:
1. Place the wired frame on a solid base (ideally one that fits exactly into the inner dimension of the frame).
2. Place the foundation on the wires. Practical tip: push the foundation close to the bottom bar – bees usually easily build up the gap at the top, while they often leave it free at the bottom.
3. Apply the transformer contacts (banana plugs) to the ends of the wire. The wire heats up by resistance and embeds into the wax within moments.
4. As soon as the wire "sinks" into the foundation, immediately move the contacts away to prevent overheating and cutting through the wax.
5. Let the wax solidify briefly and remove the frame. If the edge has slightly lifted somewhere, gently press it down with your fingers.

Important warnings for long service life
To extend the life of the transformer and prevent malfunctions, we recommend following these principles:
Prevent long-term short circuit: Make sure that the output contacts (12 V) do not touch each other longer than necessary. Long-term short circuit can irreversibly damage the transformer.
Storage: Protect the device from rain and moisture. Store it in a dry environment.
