Transformer as embedder universal
Embedding Transformer 12 V/24 V for Stainless Steel and Tinned Wires
Speed up frame preparation with a powerful embedding transformer (70 VA). Properly embedded foundation is crucial for beekeepers – it holds firmly to the wire, the work is stable even in the heat of the hive and doesn't deform during extraction. The transformer is designed so that embedding proceeds quickly, cleanly and without unnecessary cutting through the wax.
Universal Solution for Workshop and Apiary
Whether you wire with stainless steel or tinned wire, the device handles both variants. Switchable output voltage 12 V / 24 V and continuous regulation of melting intensity with a potentiometer allows you to fine-tune the heating according to wire type and foundation thickness. The principle is simple: after applying contacts, the wire heats up through resistance and smoothly embeds into the wax. With a little practice, you can manage embedding even without a backing board, which is useful when working with larger quantities of frames.
Safe Operation and Overheating Protection
For peaceful work, the transformer is equipped with a resettable thermal fuse. During overload or prolonged embedding, the power source automatically disconnects from the mains and the indicator light goes out. No need to disassemble or change anything – after cooling down, the fuse resets itself, the indicator light comes on again and you can continue.
Main Advantages for Beekeepers
1. Versatility: 12/24 V switching for different wire types (stainless steel / tin).
2. Precise regulation: Power adjustment helps prevent cutting through foundation.
3. Fast work: 70 VA power ensures quick wire heating.
4. Simple operation: Easy handling thanks to insulated banana plugs.
How to Properly Embed Foundation
Recommended procedure for clean and firm embedding:
1. Connect the flex cord to a 230 V socket (indicator light will come on).
2. Prepare a frame with tensioned wires and place it on the work surface (or on an embedding board).
3. Place foundation on the wires – ideally position it against the bottom bar (bees will build the top gap without problems).
4. Make sure the output contacts (12/24 V) don't touch each other when empty.
5. Apply insulated banana plugs to the wire ends in the frame.
6. As soon as the wire sinks into the wax, immediately disconnect the contacts and let the wax cool and harden.
Warning: Protect the power source from rain and humid environment.
