Stainless steel solar wax melter with strainer for 2 frames - 74.5x54cm
Solar wax melter, polycarbonate, stainless steel. The solar wax melter with polycarbonate will make your work with frames and combs that you want to melt easier. The melter is designed for easy processing of beeswax. On a sunny day, simply take the melter to a sunny spot, turn it towards the sun and place it at a slight angle so that the wax flows nicely into the drawer. The wax usually starts melting quickly. For using the melter, outdoor temperatures of 20 to 30°C should be sufficient, and in about 15-20 minutes the wax will begin to melt, and in 25-35 minutes, most of the wax will be in the tray.
The dimensions of the solar wax melter are 70.5 x 54 x 13 cm
Using the solar wax melter is very easy; simply place the melter in a sunny spot on a sunny day and position it so that the wax flows easily. The biggest advantage of the melter is the relatively effortless extraction of wax from frames, no mechanical damage to the frame, preservation of the existing wiring of the frame, disinfection of the frame, the ability to melt cut-out combs or built-up honeycombs, and the speed and efficiency of wax melting. You will get really clean wax from the melter, free of mechanical impurities. The solar wax melter is characterized by simple and quick operation, low-cost operation, and ecological melting.
The solar wax melter can also be used in larger beekeeping operations. Even a single melter can process a relatively large number of drawn combs in a season. The melter is cleaner, more ecological, and cheaper than boiling. The melted wax is, of course, of excellent quality, and the frames are clean after melting with undamaged wiring. The melter also has the advantage that it does not affect the wiring. Frames need to be removed from the melter during operation while they are hot. We shake off the remains and clean the frames with a spatula. Place beekeeping frames directly on the melting plate. When working with the melter, it's better to wear gloves. The temperature in the melter can reach over 100°C.
The melter will save you from the classic boiling of frames, which is not an easy matter, and you must prepare for the transfer and storage of frames near the cooker and cleaning after boiling, plus other inconveniences. We definitely recommend the solar wax melter for beginning beekeepers; it will make your work with used frames with old combs and the processing of beeswax much easier in many ways. Beeswax melts at a temperature of +60 to +65ºC, while the temperature achieved in the solar wax melter is usually around 100ºC.
