Polycarbonate solar melter will make it easier for you to work with frames and molds you want to paint. The melter is intended for easy processing of the beeswax. On a sunny day, we simply remove the melter into a sunny place, turn it towards the sun, and place it under a slight angle so that the wax flows a lot into the cabinet. Wax usually starts to quickly melt. For the use of melter, outdoor temperatures of 20 to 30 ° C should be available, and after about 15-20 minutes the traction starts and in 25-35 minutes th

Solar Wax Melter from Tinned Sheet Metal with Polycarbonate: Let the Sun Work for You

Processing beeswax and melting out frames is among the tasks that most beekeepers approach more out of necessity than enthusiasm. It takes time, consumes energy, and often leaves a mess in the workshop or at home. Solar wax melter with polycarbonate lid offers a clean and simple solution: it uses solar energy, saves you work and costs, and you get beautifully clean, yellow wax without unnecessary complications.

What You'll Appreciate in Daily Apiary Work

It's not just a "box for frames." The melter is designed to make wax melting fast, efficient, and convenient:

1. Better Heat Retention Thanks to Polycarbonate: Twin-wall polycarbonate insulates better than regular glass. Heat stays inside longer, so the melter works reliably even in milder sunlight and reaches the required temperature faster.
2. High Temperature for Quick Melting: Wax begins to melt around 60–65°C, while inside the melter the temperature commonly climbs up to 100°C. This makes wax flow out faster and also provides thermal treatment that may help reduce some unwanted pathogens on the material.
3. Durable Construction for Operation: Tinned sheet metal is resistant to corrosion and handles regular beekeeping use well. The polycarbonate lid is also practically unbreakable, so you don't have to worry about cracking during handling or storage, as happens with glass.

How to Use the Solar Wax Melter

Operation is simple even for beginning beekeepers. On a sunny day, place the melter in the sunniest spot possible and tilt it slightly so the wax flows toward the collection pan. You can place whole frames inside, or just cut-out comb.

At outdoor temperatures around 20 to 30°C, the wax starts flowing very quickly. Usually after 15–20 minutes the wax begins to flow out and within 25–35 minutes most of the material is melted and collected in the included pan. In one afternoon you can process multiple batches of frames.

Tip: Very high temperatures (up to around 100°C) can occur inside the melter. When handling the melter and pan, we recommend using protective gloves.
