Formicpro represents an effective natural-based solution designed for reliable control of the Varroa destructor mite in bee colonies. Each strip contains 68.2 g of formic acid (Acidum formicum) in gel form wrapped in biodegradable laminated paper. This material functions as a wick in the hive, releasing the active ingredient in a controlled manner throughout the treatment period.

Dosage and application method:

Use 1 sachet (2 strips) per colony. The strips are placed flat in the lower brood chamber on top of the frames. Do not remove the paper wrapper from the strips! Application period is 7 days, after which the strips can be removed or left until the next honey super is added. Repetition of the treatment cycle is possible after at least one month.

Recommended application conditions:

• Maximum daily outdoor temperature: 10–29.5°C
• Optimal air flow is essential – ensure the entrance is open across the full width (height min. 12.5 mm)
• Colony size: minimum 10,000 bees
• During treatment, limit interventions into the hive and do not disturb the bees

Storage instructions:

Store in the original packaging in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight, out of reach of children. Color changes of the strips during storage do not affect their efficacy.

Safety instructions:

• When handling, use standard beekeeping protective clothing and chemically resistant gloves.
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes; if exposed, rinse thoroughly and seek medical attention if irritation persists.
• Always unwrap strips outdoors and downwind – avoid inhaling vapors.

Various package sizes are available, all containing a practical resealable plastic insert:

• 2 sachets (total of 4 strips)
• 10 sachets (total of 20 strips)
• 30 sachets (total of 60 strips)
