Calistrip® Biox – Oxalic Acid Strips Against Varroosis (10 pcs)
Calistrip® Biox is a modern, certified veterinary product designed to control the varroa mite (Varroa destructor). It uses a special matrix with slow release of oxalic acid dihydrate, which provides effective treatment of bee colonies with respect to the natural operation in the hive. The product is approved for use in the EU and is a suitable choice for conventional and organic (BIO) beekeeping – without unnecessary risk to honey quality.

How Calistrip Biox Works in the Hive
The strip is designed for controlled and stable release of the active substance. Oxalic acid remains on the strip surface and bees gradually distribute it throughout the brood area during normal movement, mutual contact and grooming behavior. Best results are usually achieved during periods with less brood, but the product can be used during the season as needed for the colony.
Application and Dosage in Practice
Application is simple even for beginning beekeepers. Hang 2 strips in one hive (in the brood chamber) in the bee spaces between frames, ideally in areas with the highest bee activity. Do not shorten or cut the strips – adjust the length only by bending according to the hive construction. Leave them in the hive for a maximum of 6 weeks.
During treatment, honey supers intended for honey extraction must not be installed. For the best results and to limit reinvasion, we recommend treating all colonies at the apiary simultaneously.
