For foundation sheets, the quality of raw material is crucial. The foundations are manufactured using traditional and long-proven methods, where the wax is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Wax bloom is a natural phenomenon

During storage (especially in cooler environments), a lighter coating may appear on the foundation sheets – wax bloom. This is not mold or a defect, but rather a common manifestation of pure beeswax. It has no effect on foundation function or bees' willingness to build. If the patina bothers you visually, you can easily remove it with brief heating with warm air (e.g., hair dryer) or brief exposure to sunlight.

Practical tip for uniform construction

For the smoothest construction possible, we recommend placing the foundation in the frame close to the top bar. Bees usually more readily complete gaps at the bottom than at the top, so this will support uniform and straight comb construction. Leave approximately equal side gaps.
