Honey Dryer SIPA Set III: Cascade System for Gentle Honey Moisture Reduction

Have you extracted honey with higher water content and want to prevent fermentation and flavor deterioration? The ECO Honey Dryer (SIPA® Honey Cascade Set III) offers beekeepers a fully integrated and economical solution for controlled honey moisture reduction. It is suitable for small to medium batches and helps maintain proper consistency so that honey meets strict quality requirements. Thanks to the gentle process, the honey does not overheat and retains its natural aroma and valuable substances that your customers value.

How does the cascade dryer work?

Dehumidification is simple and controlled. Honey with higher moisture is first gently heated in the upper part of the assembly using a heating system. It then slowly flows down through a six-stage cascade, where water evaporates evenly. The necessary dry air is provided by a connected dehumidifier that operates in a closed circuit. The processed honey flows after approximately 30 minutes directly into the lower settling tank, from where you can immediately bottle it into jars. If the honey is too liquid after heating, a short pause and waiting for crystallization to begin is recommended – this naturally slows down the flow without negatively impacting quality.

Main advantages and benefits for beekeepers

The key advantage is the closed air circuit. The honey does not absorb moisture from the room and the risk of contamination by dust or impurities is minimized. The system is designed without moving parts directly in the honey flow, which means lower wear, easier maintenance and a high level of hygiene. The assembly is also space-saving, quick to assemble and does not require complex tools. Individual components (such as heating or settling tank) can be used independently during the season as needed in your honey house.

What does the complete set include?

The assembly is designed so you can put it into operation immediately. It includes a SIPA® air dehumidifier, six-stage honey cascade and ApiNord® ApiTherma heating system (heating coil, strainer and tension ring with carbon fiber). In the lower part there is a robust 35 kg settling tank with a loose lid, mounted on a solid 35 cm high stand. The stand ensures a comfortable height for settling and subsequent filling into jars.
