Hive 37x30 with 2 supers - Czechoslovak

Complete Czechoslovak hive with two supers for 10 frames 37x30. This hive includes a tall fully-screened varroa bottom board with a plastic removable drawer, two supers for frame size 37 x 30, and a hardboard or metal cover. The supers and cover are insulated with a sufficiently thick layer of polystyrene. The hive construction is made of tongue and groove boards, connected with staples and glue.

The supers are made of quality wooden construction covered on both sides with tongue and groove boards. Inside is 2 cm thick polystyrene. Each super has a hole drilled in the front, fitted with an entrance reducer. This construction of the 37x30 super hive is simple and can be quickly and easily adapted to the needs of the colony. Long-term observations have confirmed that the winter cluster forms predominantly in the middle of the super across 4-5 combs.

The hive walls insulated with 2 cm polystyrene have the advantage in spring during the beginning of development that they do not allow heat to escape too quickly during variable weather and large temperature differences. The colony in these hives forms the winter cluster significantly later.

In the picture, you can see the super frame without polystyrene and the top layer of tongue and groove boards. The reinforced frame forms the skeleton of the super and is located inside the super under the tongue and groove boards.
