Aerosol generator Griffin H
Griffin H Aerosol Generator for 2 kg propane-butane cylinder. The generator creates an aerosol by injecting liquid into a heated tube. The Griffin H aerosol generator provides quick application and high efficiency. The heat is generated using a gas cylinder. This model is designed to connect to a 2kg propane-butane cylinder, which brings greater comfort during longer use while ensuring high efficiency and work speed. The product comes directly from the manufacturer in the Czech Republic from Mr. Brentner and is suitable for experienced beekeepers who are looking for a reliable and robust tool for maintaining and protecting their bee colonies.
Previously, Griffin K was marked as Griffin 1 and 2. The use of Griffin for work is determined by time. A cartridge burns for about 1.5 hours. The burner with a cylinder is more time-efficient. Since the burner in both cases can be easily removed, it depends on the requirements we want to use it for. In terms of mobility, Griffin K is significantly lighter. The mobility of Griffin H is conditioned by the weight of the propane-butane cylinder. There is no difference in functionality between them.
Griffin combined with a smoker serves to eliminate unwanted pests.
The cartridge in Griffin H can remain until the next use. Preparation takes about 2-3 minutes, and application is a matter of a few seconds. How many starts the cartridge will last depends on the number of starts with heating and the duration of application.
More about operation. Whether it concerns Griffin K or H, when the gas in the cylinder or cartridge is running low, you cannot heat the exchanger to make the threads turn red, and it can burn for several minutes, in the case of a cylinder even tens of minutes. It is unnecessary to attempt application because poor evaporation occurs and unevaporated oil drips from the nozzle. Replace the cartridge or cylinder and continue.
Griffin is not an approved preparation for varroa treatment in the Czech Republic.

Operating principle
The generator creates an effective mist (aerosol) by injecting the selected liquid into a hot tube. This aerosol is then injected through the nozzle into the hive space or other areas where it is necessary to act against pests. The composition of the applied liquid is chosen by the user according to current needs (oil, water with preparation, etc.).

Capacity: 110-115 exhalations with a single dose of 1.1-1.2 ml (recommended ratio of medicinal oil 150 ml + active ingredient 10 ml).

Use: According to the applied medium - for beekeeping, disinfection or other purposes related to the protection of hives and their surroundings.
Work safety and recommended measures

The device works with an open flame and high temperatures - use protective equipment (gloves, shield, respirator with A1 insert).

The developed smoke is not intended for direct inhalation - ensure that there are no other people nearby and work only in the open air.

Assembly and replacement of the propane-butane cylinder or cartridge should only be done outdoors, never in enclosed spaces.

Do not entrust the smoker to children, suitable only for adults with experience working with flammable substances.

Check the tightness of screw connections using soapy water, never with an open flame.
Maintenance and solutions to common problems
After finishing work, always remove remaining oil from the device and use denatured alcohol to clean the oil dispenser and tube. Regular maintenance ensures trouble-free operation and extends lifespan. If the nozzle becomes clogged, carefully clean it with a fine wire. Leave other defects to an authorized service center.

If the gas is running low, the exchanger will not heat up sufficiently and there is a risk of poor-quality application - replace the cartridge or cylinder.
