Do you need power for wax melting without dependence on electricity or gas cylinder replacement? The ApiNord® Pro 70 l is a professional wood-fired steam generator for beekeepers who want stable steam production, reliable operation in the field, and low fuel costs.
Powerful Helper for Operation and Field Use
The design is based on real needs of beekeeping practice. Thanks to wood heating, you can use easily available and cheap fuel. The combustion chamber is dimensioned for logs up to 60 cm, so you don't need to unnecessarily cut wood into small pieces. The tank with a volume of approximately 70 liters can produce steam for approximately 3 hours continuously, which speeds up wax melting and limits work interruption due to water refilling.
What you'll appreciate in practice: compared to common boilers, the PRO model has a multi-layer construction and insulated combustion chamber, so heat stays where it should be – near the water. Thanks to this, it maintains power even in colder weather, when with weaker solutions steam "gets lost" and work significantly slows down.
Durable Construction and Elements for Safe Operation
ApiNord® emphasizes robustness and safety. The generator body is made of solid steel with black paint and the weight of approximately 80 kg contributes to stability during outdoor use. For easier handling, it is equipped with two solid "cold" handles. A pressure relief valve takes care of pressure control inside the device.
Also included is an adapter for connection to a range of beekeeping wax melters. The generator is compatible with ApiNord®, Bieno® and SIPA® steam wax melters as well as with Imgut® and Smalto® wax rendering tanks.

The steam generator is supplied ready for assembly and subsequent use in beekeeping work (e.g. wax melting). In the package you will find:

Maintenance Instructions
The steam generator casing is made of durable steel and is painted with black paint. With long-term use and exposure to high temperatures, it is normal for the paint to start peeling in places. This has no effect on functionality or device lifespan. If you want to maintain the original appearance, we recommend performing local paint repair with special heat-resistant paint with resistance up to approximately 800 °C.
Operating Instructions
Keep in mind that the device operates with open fire and generates considerable heat. Therefore, protect yourself and all persons working with the device from injury and carefully read the operating manual before use. The device is suitable exclusively for outdoor use (e.g. during beekeeping work with wax melter).
Safety Instructions
Follow the safety and operating instructions stated in the attached operating manual and also applicable accident prevention regulations.
Persons who are unable to safely operate the device due to their physical, sensory or mental capabilities, lack of experience or knowledge, must not use it, or only under supervision or after training by a responsible person.
Unprofessional interventions and modifications can reduce device functionality and, if performed incorrectly, lead to serious health and property hazards. In case of unauthorized modifications, warranty claims usually become void.

From the perspective of accident prevention regulations, this device is considered a wood-burning appliance. Therefore, follow these safety rules:

Never leave the wood-fired steam generator operating unattended. Always have a functional fire extinguisher and/or bucket with at least 5 liters of quartz sand ready.

Never extinguish fire in the combustion chamber with water – there is a life-threatening risk of deflagration. Use closing the air supply for extinguishing (smothering the fire by removing oxygen).

Minimum distance from combustible materials is 2 meters. During operation, no easily flammable objects may be located near the appliance.

The device may only be operated outside forest stands and at a distance of at least 100 meters from forest. Follow local legislative requirements applicable in your region.

Do not use any explosive, highly flammable or solvent-containing liquids in the wax melter – there is a risk of fire and explosion.

Before each use and after it, check the device for damage. If damage is detected, call in a specialist for repair.

Perform maintenance only after the device has cooled down – never during operation or when the device is hot.

Keep children and animals at a safe distance from the running steam generator to prevent burns.
