The large Mellarius wax melter is a practical tool for beekeepers who want to quickly and efficiently render wax from comb and frames while having the final product free of unwanted impurities. The well-thought-out system works with steam and thanks to separate outlets for water and wax, you get rendered wax clearly and cleanly. The time you save during melting can be devoted to what matters most – working with your bee colonies.

Heating that Adapts to Your Apiary

You can use the device according to the possibilities at your location. The package includes a Mellarius steam generator with 2.2 kW power output and modernized construction. It is now equipped with an improved bimetallic safety fuse that protects the heating coil and contributes to longer service life of the generator. If you don't have electricity available, the melter can also be heated without problems on a regular gas burner.

Stainless Steel Construction for Years of Operation

The melter is made of food-grade stainless steel with a thickness of 0.8 to 1 mm and is designed for demanding beekeeping operations. Precise plasma welding helps maintain the strength of joints and durability of the construction. Stability is ensured by four massive, firmly welded legs, and practical handles facilitate handling. Smooth surfaces inside and out also significantly simplify cleaning after melting.

More Than Just Melting: A Helper for Hygiene and Prevention

Inside there is a spacious basket with handles for frames (up to 18 pieces), which is placed on a stainless steel pad and thus effectively separates the water circulation from the rendered wax. Thanks to the included brass plugs, the melter can also be used as a container for cleaning and disinfecting frames and other beekeeping equipment. Regular hygiene of equipment is an important part of prevention and limiting the spread of bee diseases in the apiary.
