Asian Hornet Attractant – VespaCatch Concentrate (10 ml)
Protect your bee colonies from invasive predators using a highly effective natural attractant. The concentrate is developed for selective trapping of Asian hornets (Vespa velutina) to minimize risk to honey bees and other native insect species.
This is a natural trapping solution based on plant extracts without insecticides. Thanks to its thoughtful formulation, it increases attractiveness to hornets and is suitable for both spring preventive queen trapping and autumn colony protection during increased worker pressure.

High selectivity: The composition is designed not to attract bees (it has a repelling effect on bees while being highly attractive to hornets).

Preparation and Use Instructions
For maximum effectiveness, follow the recommended dilution ratio and procedure:
MIXING RATIO:
10 ml attractant + 200 ml water + 50 g sugar

Pour 10 ml of concentrate (entire bottle contents) into a clean container.

Add 200 ml of water and 50 g of sugar (sugar supports fermentation and increases mixture attractiveness).

Mix thoroughly until sugar completely dissolves.

Pour the mixture into the trap (ideally VespaCatch type).

Hang the trap in the hornet flight path, preferably near bee colonies.
Tips for Maximum Effectiveness

Temperature: Start trapping when daily temperatures consistently exceed 15°C.

Patience: After installation, it may take several hours for the mixture to intensively attract hornets through fermentation.

Solution replacement: Replace the bait when the trap is full, or at latest after 3 weeks.

Do not wash traps during replacement: When refilling bait, DO NOT RINSE the trap. Scent traces may increase attractiveness for additional individuals.

Leaving one hornet: If possible, leave one caught hornet in the trap as additional visual and scent stimulus.
Recommended Trap Placement According to Occurrence Intensity
Adjust the number of traps according to how many hornets you observe at the hives:

2 hornets per hive: 1 trap per 2 hives.

3–5 hornets per hive: 1 trap per 1 hive.

5 or more hornets per hive: 3 traps per 2 hives.
Safety Warning and Storage
WARNING: Contains ethanol. Flammable liquid and vapors.

Storage: Store in a dry place at room temperature, away from heat sources, sparks, open flames and hot surfaces. Always keep container tightly closed.

Child safety: Keep out of reach of children and pets. Place traps where children cannot reach them.

First aid:

If swallowed: Do not induce vomiting. In case of ingestion, immediately seek medical attention and present the container or label.

Contact with skin and eyes: Rinse with plenty of water. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.

Disposal: Dispose of container and product residues at hazardous waste collection points according to local regulations. Do not smoke during handling.
