Swarm Indicator - package of 1 piece

The swarm indicator from Lyson company makes monitoring our bee colonies easier. Thanks to long-term observation and the idea of beekeeper Władysław Żur, this product was developed. By using this product, the beekeeper immediately knows whether a swarm has occurred or not.

The functioning of our indicator is actually very simple. When swarming, bees push through the entrance hole where we place our indicator. Under the pressure of bees, the indicator cap falls off, bees fly out, and the beekeeper can immediately see at first glance that they have swarmed.

What does the LYSON swarm indicator look like?
A transparent cap/lid is placed on a bent tube. The bend is at a precise angle. Bees try to go toward the light, so they push on the lid, which releases under their pressure and falls off. When arriving at the hive, the beekeeper immediately knows that swarming has occurred without having to open the hive.

The most important element is the correct bend of the tube. The color is also important - it must not be black. It must be a light shade so that bees move toward its opening. The length of the tube and its shape allow bees to observe the surroundings of the hive.
