A dense safety grid (so-called ultra cage) protects it all around the perimeter, significantly reducing the risk of burns from accidental contact. It also features a hook for hanging and a practical handle for secure grip when working at the hives. Quality leather bellows ensure smooth smoke production.

The shape with a narrower neck is suitable even for hard-to-reach places between supers. As fuel, you can use dry rotten wood from the forest or beekeeping fuel specifically designed for smokers.

Rotten wood (e.g., willow), pressed pellets or dried common tansy work well, which some beekeepers also use as a traditional auxiliary material when working during increased pressure from the Varroa destructor mite.
