Scraper for cleaning queen excluders - stainless steel
Stainless Steel Queen Excluder Scraper with Wooden Handle
Cleaning queen excluders is often one of those tasks that beekeepers approach reluctantly. Dried deposits of propolis and wax are difficult to remove from the gaps between wires and unnecessarily take up time. This specially shaped stainless steel scraper is designed specifically for quick and gentle maintenance of excluders during regular apiary operations.
Two working edges for faster cleaning
The scraper is designed so that you have a tool for multiple tasks in your hand. The serrated side has spacing adapted to metal queen excluders with wire diameter of approximately 2 mm – with one stroke you can easily clean multiple gaps at once without damaging the excluder. The smooth side serves as a practical spatula/pry bar for cleaning the excluder frame, edges, or other flat surfaces in the hive.
Durable stainless steel and comfortable wood
The working part is made of quality stainless steel, which resists corrosion, is easy to maintain, and can be simply washed (for example with hot water during equipment hygiene). The metal is firmly secured in an ergonomically shaped wooden handle. Wood is pleasant even in cooler weather, doesn't slip, and allows you to apply necessary pressure without uncomfortable bruising.
Main advantages for beekeepers
- Faster maintenance: serrated profile shortens excluder cleaning compared to common tools.
- Comfortable grip: wooden handle fits well in the palm and makes work more pleasant.
- Quality construction: stainless steel blade is strong, durable, and suitable for long-term use.
