Product Description and Easy Application
The pen resembles a thick marker (see images), so it fits comfortably in your hand and allows for more confident and precise work than small brushes or toothpicks. The tip is designed for dotting, so that an appropriate amount of paint is applied and the risk of paint running onto the wings or spiracles of the queen is minimized.
Tip for use: Before first use, shake the pen thoroughly (there is a mixing ball inside) and press the tip against a hard surface several times until it is saturated with paint.
International Queen Marking Color Code
To keep track of the queen's age, an internationally recognized five-year color marking system is used. Choose the color according to the last digit of the year:
⚪ White: years ending in 1 and 6 (2021, 2026, 2031)
? Yellow: years ending in 2 and 7 (2022, 2027, 2032)
? Red: years ending in 3 and 8 (2023, 2028, 2033)
? Green: years ending in 4 and 9 (2019, 2024, 2029)
? Blue: years ending in 5 and 0 (2020, 2025, 2030)
