Beekeepers use a glass plate covered with polyethylene film, through which wires with a weak electrical impulse are led. This only slightly irritates the bee – the bee stings into the film and a drop of venom remains on the glass. Thanks to the smooth surface, it does not tear out its stinger and can safely return to the hive and to forage. The entire process is thus maximally gentle to our most important pollinators.
