Manual tangential honey extractor Mellarius MaxiLine for 4 frames for comfortable honey harvesting
Are you preparing for honey extraction and looking for a honey extractor that will make the work easier, be gentle on combs, and last for many seasons? The manual tangential honey extractor Mellarius MaxiLine for 4 frames is a suitable choice for beekeepers who require a solid build, stable operation, and efficient honey extraction without unnecessary losses. The drum and basket are made of highly polished food-grade stainless steel designed for contact with food. Thanks to the basket width of 25 cm, the extractor is compatible with most common frame sizes used in the Czech Republic and abroad.

High-quality MaxiLine series with a stable construction
Mellarius MaxiLine honey extractors are among the robust beekeeping equipment designed for reliable use in the honey house. Compared to cheaper economy models, they are manufactured from thicker stainless steel sheets with a thickness of 0.8 to 1 mm, which increases the strength of the drum and reduces the risk of denting during handling. The body of the extractor is fabricated using plasma welding technology, which produces smooth and clean joints. An important part of the construction are also the heavy-duty legs with a wide stance that help dampen vibrations and keep the extractor stable even when extracting heavier or unevenly loaded combs. After the season, the legs can be easily removed, making the extractor easier to store.
Conical bottom for gravity honey drainage
During honey harvesting, it is practical when honey drains from the extractor without the need to tilt the entire unit. The Mellarius MaxiLine model is therefore equipped with a conical bottom with a slope that naturally guides honey to the lowest point of the tank. A welded stainless steel gate valve with a guillotine closure is fitted here, through which honey flows smoothly into the prepared container. Thanks to this design, minimal honey remains on the bottom, and post-extraction work is faster and more convenient.
Dense stainless steel basket gentle on the honeycomb
Gentle extraction is especially important with virgin combs or combs filled with heavy honey. The basket of the Mellarius MaxiLine honey extractor is made of densely arranged stainless steel wires that distribute the centrifugal force over a larger area of the comb. This reduces the risk of tearing or damaging the honeycomb. The basket construction is reinforced with strengthened circular rods that resist twisting well. The smooth round profiles also have no sharp edges where impurities could accumulate, which makes subsequent cleaning easier.
Manual drive with freewheel and brake
The honey extractor is equipped with a high-quality mechanical manual drive with a robust gearbox. The gear ratio is designed so that the basket can be spun smoothly and without unnecessary effort, which you will especially appreciate during longer honey extraction sessions. The sturdy crank is made of durable material, and the drive is fitted with a freewheel. If you release the crank during spinning, the gear disengages and the crank stops turning, while the basket continues to rotate safely by inertia. The worm gear also provides a braking effect – by gently turning the crank in the opposite direction, the basket can be smoothly slowed down or stopped as needed.
Easy disassembly and cleaning after honey harvesting
Equipment cleanliness is essential when processing honey. The Mellarius MaxiLine honey extractor is therefore designed to be quickly disassembled and conveniently washed. The drive is mounted on a sturdy upper stainless steel crossbar, which also holds the hinges of the transparent protective covers made of Plexiglas. The basket is supported at the bottom by a high-quality ball bearing. After loosening two star knob screws, the upper crossbar with the drive can be removed in a short time, and then the entire basket can be lifted out of the drum. This way, you can easily rinse both the drum and the basket with warm water without obstacles and time-consuming cleaning.
