Lukopren N 1522 - 1 kg + catalyst
Universal Silicone Rubber Lukopren N 1522
Lukopren N 1522 is relatively hard and beekeepers use it mainly for making foundation molds.
For models with simple, one-sided relief, Lukopren N 1522 and N Super can be used for making one-piece molds.
For making beekeeping foundation sheets, both the firm and harder Lukopren N 1522 and the softer and more flexible Lukopren N 5221 have gained popularity.
For casting candles of common shapes in two-piece molds, Lukopren N Super is most commonly used. This rubber also has the highest flowability and copies even the finest relief. For more intricate candle models, it's better to choose more flexible and softer types of rubber such as Lukopren N 5221
Candles of classic composition are made from a mixture of paraffin and stearin, which is melted in a water bath. Recently, candles made from beeswax have become popular. The temperature for casting them is approximately 70°C.
Lukopren N 1522
Two-component silicone rubber is a polymeric medium-viscosity paste with good flowability, which after mixing with the catalyst vulcanizes at normal temperatures into a harder silicone rubber. Universal type for making molds and casts, detachable seals, and for encapsulating components in electrical engineering.
Packaging: small box (including catalyst); 5 and 10 kg buckets can also be ordered - Catalyst N must then be ordered separately.
production of simpler, harder, firm, less flexible molds, thick-walled molds without auxiliary beds for subsequent casting of plaster, concrete, wax, epoxy resin, tin (precise copying of surface details)
production of casts, pads, suction cups
separation or masking layers
(easily removable due to low adhesion to the substrate)
preparation of detachable flange seals (heating and cooling units)
encapsulation and housing of electrical equipment
(mechanical and weather resistance)
for vulcanization of rubber, it is necessary to precisely dose
Lukopren Catalyst N
the vulcanizate has very low adhesion to most substrates (can be peeled off), to increase it, it is necessary to use a primer - Lukopren Primer A or N. When making molds, we recommend separating the model for easier demolding; silicone molds, due to their self-separating properties, are not separated during use. The rubber paste can only be colored to pastel shades using Pigment pastes. Silicone rubber can be easily glued or adhered with the one-component sealant Lukopren S.
Appearance: rubber casting paste of cream color
Viscosity: 10 - 15 Pa.s
Hardness of vulcanizate: 53 - 55 °ShA
Elongation of vulcanizate: 130 - 140 %
Thermal resistance of vulcanizate: -50 to +250 °C
Recommended dosage of Lukopren Catalyst N: 2.5 - 3 wt. %
