Foundation sheets Zander 477x159 - 395x135 mm - cold rolled
Cold-pressed wax foundation for Zander 395 × 135 mm – 1 kg
Give your bee colonies a reliable foundation for rapid comb construction right from the first brood cycles. Foundation sheets for Zander frame size measuring 395 × 135 mm are supplied by a traditional Czech manufacturer and are made from 100% beeswax purchased exclusively in the Czech Republic. This way you get foundation with verified origin while supporting domestic beekeeping.

Why choose cold-pressed (rolled) foundation
Cold rolling technology helps preserve the natural structure of wax, and thus its strength and flexibility. Foundation sheets break less during handling and are easier to work with when embedding into wire and during routine frame preparation. The result is smoother work in the apiary and less material loss when preparing supers.
Purity and health safety under control
Health safety of wax is crucial for bee breeding. Therefore, wax is sterilized at 117°C for 1 hour during production – the process is supervised by veterinary authorities and is designed to reduce the risk of transmission of pathogenic germs, including American foulbrood spores. Cleaning is carried out by gradual filtration without the use of acids and other chemicals.
Without paraffin and substitutes: Foundation sheets are regularly laboratory-tested for additives (FTIR analysis, VŠCHT). You can be sure that you are placing truly pure beeswax without paraffin into the hive. We are happy to send current analysis results upon request.
Wax bloom (patina) is a natural phenomenon
During storage in cold conditions or after a longer period, a lighter coating may appear on the surface – so-called wax bloom (patina). This is not mold, but a natural manifestation of genuine beeswax. It has no effect on the function of foundation sheets. If you want to "brighten" the foundation again, simply heat it briefly in the sun or with warm air (e.g., hair dryer).

Recommendations for beekeepers
In practice, beekeepers most commonly attach foundation to the top bar of the frame. Bees usually complete the bottom part without problems, while small side gaps (approx. 1–2 mm) help maintain proper comb expansion. Thanks to precise dimensions, foundation sheets are identical piece by piece, which facilitates frame preparation and seasonal supply planning.
