Our beeswax is analyzed in the laboratory

We work closely with our suppliers to provide you with the best available beeswax. Beeswax is heated with water to +100°C before processing. The beeswax is low in residues and free from disease. During winter months, transport damage may unfortunately occur.

During longer storage or refrigerated storage, a light layer of wax (patina, so-called wax bloom) may form on the surface of some foundation sheets. Wax bloom is a natural aesthetic change that does not affect the quality or functionality of the foundation sheets. You can easily remove it with warm air by placing it in the sun for a while, etc.

Foundation sheets are regularly tested in VŠCHT laboratories for possible paraffin contamination. This is the FTIR analysis of waxes. Write to us and we will send you the current analysis results.

The foundation sheets are cold-rolled. The foundation sheets then do not break and are easy to process. The production of the foundation sheets takes place under the control of the Veterinary Administration. The manufacturer is a certified producer of foundation sheets. Each certified manufacturer is obligated to sterilize the wax for one hour at 117°C during production to free the wax from pathogens such as foulbrood. The foundation sheets are produced without the addition of chemicals, i.e., no acids are used to clean the wax. The wax is purified by gradual filtration.
