Why Choose a Wax Melter with Press

The main advantage is higher yield and more convenient operation. With regular wax melters, part of the wax often remains in the slumgum (wax residue). The integrated press allows you to mechanically "squeeze out" even the remaining wax from the melted combs that would otherwise end up as waste. The melter is also ready for connection to a steam generator (not included in the package – available in our offer), which delivers hot steam directly into the material chamber and ensures fast, even melting.

Instructions for Using the Wax Melter

The wax melter is used to obtain clean, quality beeswax by applying steam to cut combs, old combs, and other wax scraps. Operation is simple and you'll learn it quickly:

1. Place the melter on a stable elevated surface so you can position a plastic container (e.g., bucket) under the bottom outlet spout to catch the rendered wax.
2. Connect the steam generator to the designated fitting.
3. Place the cut combs (ideally pre-crushed and rinsed) preferably in a wax straining bag and then into the stainless steel basket inside the melter. The bag helps catch coarse impurities and the resulting wax is usually cleaner.
4. Fill the basket, close the lid, and start the steam generator.
5. As the wax melts, the volume of material in the basket decreases – you can therefore gradually add more raw material. For better heating and higher yield, we recommend stirring the mixture when adding more.
6. When the wax stops flowing out on its own, it's time for the press. By gradually tightening the press in the lid, you'll press out the remaining mass in the basket and obtain maximum wax.
