How Uhelon has an advantage over classic strainer

The material used is crucial. The strainer is sewn from technical fabric Uhelon (polyamide fibers), which has a specific structure. This helps smoother flow – honey doesn't get "slowed down" through the mesh as much as with some metal screens, so filtration is usually faster and more comfortable.

The fineness of 550 microns is a practical universal choice: it catches common impurities from extraction (pieces of wax, cappings residues, coarser particles), but at the same time doesn't restrict honey flow more than necessary.

The strainer is designed as a textile bag with hem and drawstring, so it easily adapts to container diameter:

Simply insert it into a bucket, settling or clarifying tank, fold the edge over the rim and tighten with the drawstring. The strainer holds stable in place and doesn't slide during work even with larger amounts of honey.

Recommended use for honey settling

The Uhelon strainer is also suitable for settling. For the cleanest results, proceed as follows:

Pour honey into the container fitted with the strainer and leave it undisturbed for approximately 3 days. During this time, small impurities and air bubbles have time to float to the surface and form a top layer of foam. Clean honey can then simply be drawn off from the bottom through a gate valve (honey gate).
