The tank is designed with emphasis on hygiene and easy handling so that honey is best protected from ambient moisture and unwanted odors during ripening and storage. Quality Material and Construction for the Honey House

Mellarius honey tanks are manufactured from polished food-grade stainless steel with a thickness of 0.8–1.0 mm. This thickness helps prevent denting during normal work, whether you're carrying, bottling or cleaning the tank. Individual parts are precisely welded (plasma welding) and the construction is designed to have smooth and easily washable surfaces. Sturdy stainless steel handles are standard, facilitating safe carrying and handling in the honey house.

Sealing Lid and Easily Replaceable Honey Gate

The tank comes factory-fitted with a plastic honey gate. Thanks to the welded thread, the gate can be easily replaced and a stainless steel variant can be chosen for maximum durability and long service life. An important component is also the sealing lid with silicone gasket, which helps keep honey in a closed environment without access to air moisture. The lid is additionally secured with sturdy hooks, so it stays safely in place during transport or normal handling.

Accessories for Even More Efficient Bottling

You can complement the settling tank according to your honey processing habits. Stainless steel strainers are available that fit precisely on the tank rim. We offer them in three mesh sizes (coarse, fine, ultra fine) and they can be combined on top of each other, so you can easily assemble ideal honey filtration directly during bottling. For convenient jar filling, we also recommend stainless steel stands that create sufficient space under the tank. For more precise dispensing, you can also add anti-drip valves (so-called "honey gates"), which are mounted on the stainless steel honey gate.
