Do you want to obtain clean beeswax quickly, without mess and without unnecessarily large equipment? The ApiNord® assembly for Dadant size is a practical 2-in-1 solution that you can use all year round. It combines a lightweight and durable transport box with the ApiNord® Dampfmeister Pro steam generator. No more tedious boiling in pots or investing in large stainless steel melting tanks.

Why this assembly makes sense in practice

The system is designed for regular beekeeping operations – it saves time, work and storage space. Unlike heavy single-purpose stainless steel melters, you can use the plastic box year-round: during the season it serves for hygienic transport of frames or nucs, and when processing wax you simply transform it into an effective steam wax melter. Food-grade, heat-resistant plastic helps keep the resulting wax clean and suitable for further use (e.g., for foundation).

High capacity and stable performance

You can place up to 11 Dadant US or Dadant Blatt frames in the box – including brood frames, so you can process a large batch of comb at once. Steam performance is provided by the ApiNord® Dampfmeister Pro generator with a 7-liter tank and power consumption of 1.9–2.3 kW. On one filling, it can produce steam for up to 120 minutes, allowing thorough melting even of older, dark combs.

Construction that facilitates handling

Wheels and side handles make moving easy even when fully loaded. The bottom of the box is shaped with a slight slope toward the outlet, so melted wax flows smoothly into a prepared container. The stackability of the boxes is also an advantage – storage is thus significantly more economical.

What is included in the package

The package includes a modified ApiNord® transport box with an integrated threaded adapter for hose connection and the ApiNord® Dampfmeister Pro steam generator including an insulated hose. Just add water, connect to the power supply and you can start melting.

Safety warning

Use heat-insulating protective gloves when working. The device produces hot steam – follow safe handling principles and the procedure according to the instructions. Never leave the steam generator running without water ("dry running").
