Polycarbonate solar melter will make it easier for you to work with frames and molds you want to paint. The melter is intended for easy processing of the beeswax. On a sunny day, we simply remove the melter into a sunny place, turn it towards the sun, and place it under a slight angle so that the wax flows a lot into the cabinet.
Obtaining beeswax can be fast, clean, and without the unnecessary boiling of frames in pots. The JaHan Solar Wax Melter harnesses the natural energy of the sun, making it a practical tool for both small and larger beekeeping operations. The polycarbonate lid with excellent solar radiation transmittance, combined with a durable stainless steel tray, helps achieve high temperatures inside the melter and enables eco-friendly rendering of pure beeswax with minimal effort.

The main advantage of this solar wax melter is the convenient rendering of wax without complicated operation. Simply place the frames or comb inside and let the solar heat take care of the process. When used correctly, the frames are not mechanically damaged and the wiring remains intact for further use. Under favorable conditions, the temperature inside the melter can exceed 100 °C, while beeswax melts at approximately 60–65 °C. The high temperature also aids in the heat disinfection of frames. The stainless steel screen catches cocoons, comb residues, and other coarse impurities, so cleaner wax flows into the collection tray, ready for further processing or exchange for foundation sheets.
Operating the melter is simple and the running costs are zero. On a sunny day, ideally at an outdoor temperature of around 20 to 30 °C, place the melter in direct sunlight. Angle it toward the sun and slightly elevate one end so that the melted wax can flow freely into the collection drawer. The first wax usually begins to melt within 15 to 20 minutes, and one batch of frames is largely rendered in approximately 25 to 35 minutes depending on the intensity of sunlight. The melter can process whole frames, cut-out comb, and built-out combs. Due to the very high temperature inside the melter, we recommend removing the frames while still hot, tapping off comb residues, and cleaning them with a scraper if necessary. Always use protective beekeeping gloves and handle with care.
