Queen marking paint - bottle - 10 ml
Queen Marking Paint – 10 ml Bottle
Do you spend unnecessarily long time searching for the queen during hive inspections? Save time, reduce hive opening duration and have clarity about the age of queens in your apiary. Professional marking paint is a practical tool for every beekeeper who wants to work faster and with less stress for the bees.
Why mark queens with paint
Queen marking is not just "for order". It's mainly faster inspection and better overview. You can find a marked queen on the comb easier and sooner, so the intervention in the colony lasts shorter time. According to the color, you immediately recognize the queen's year and can plan replacement or breeding renewal in time, which helps maintain strong and balanced colonies.
Main advantages and properties
The paint is packed in a practical 10 ml bottle.
-
Quick drying: In practice you'll appreciate the short drying time and it reduces the risk of smearing and also that bees would "clean" the fresh mark.
-
Long durability: After drying, the mark is waterproof, so it lasts long-term on the queen's thorax.
-
Wider use: The paint is also suitable for marking hives, frames and other beekeeping equipment.
Which color to choose (international color code)
For quick orientation in queen age, an international five-year system is used. Apply the paint as a small dot on the dorsal part of the queen's thorax. Be careful not to hit the wings or eyes.
