Which color to choose (international color code)

For quick orientation in queen age, an international five-year system is used. Apply the paint as a small dot on the dorsal part of the queen's thorax. Be careful not to hit the wings or eyes.

• White: years ending in 1 and 6 (2021, 2026, 2031)

• Yellow: years ending in 2 and 7 (2022, 2027, 2032)

• Red: years ending in 3 and 8 (2023, 2028, 2033)

• Green: years ending in 4 and 9 (2024, 2029, 2034)

• Blue: years ending in 5 and 0 (2025, 2030, 2035)

Technical parameters

Tip: For precise and safe application use a marking pen, rounded toothpick or queen catching clip. Apply really small dots and let them dry briefly before returning the queen to the comb.
