Suitable for both smaller apiaries and operations where larger batches of old comb are regularly melted. The woodenstainless steel design is engineered for fast, clean and reliable wax extraction from combs – with minimal mess and without tedious scrubbing of the equipment after each batch. The result is clean wax ready for further processing and foundation production.
Fast Melting Without Unnecessary Effort
Melting old comb can be time-consuming and physically demanding. ApiCera® significantly simplifies the process thanks to an integrated 3 kW heating element that ensures rapid temperature rise. Temperature can be continuously adjusted in the range of approximately 60 to 200 °C. The practical sloped bottom with floor-level outlet together with a durable brass tap supports smooth and loss-free drainage of melted wax and water. This eliminates the dangerous manual tilting of a heavy container.
Spacious Basket and Efficient Impurity Filtration
The solid stainless steel comb basket with central steam supply holds up to 30 frames of standard sizes (Zander, Langstroth, Dadant US, Dadant Blatt). The internal sieve with 3 mm mesh captures cocoons, propolis and other impurities, so you get very clean wax without the need for subsequent complex purification. Wax melted this way is ideal for further processing in your operation and for preparing material for foundation.
Well-Designed Construction and Safer Operation
The melter is designed with emphasis on ergonomics and safety. Water can be conveniently added through the side filling port without the need to open the hot lid. Stability during operation is ensured by three solid legs with hard rubber wheels; each wheel has its own parking brake. Protection during handling is supported by a loose stainless steel roof with thermally insulated handle and rubberized side grips.

Important Safety Instructions
Working with the melter involves contact with hot steam and molten wax – therefore exercise extreme caution and follow the safety instructions in the enclosed manual. Use heat-resistant gloves and appropriate protective equipment. Do not handle the equipment during operation, always engage the parking brakes and keep the melter out of reach of children, animals and flammable materials. Prevent water or other liquids from entering the electric heating unit and do not use external timers.
